How does coaching work?

Professional coaching is a method providing partnership between the coach and the coachee. With support from a professional coach the coachee is better off in achieving sustainable improvement at work and in private life. This is achieved not only by the support of the coach but also by the coachee keeping a better focus and improving his or her self-consciousness. As a coachee you are always on a learning curve.

The role of the professional coach is to bring in a solid structure to the coaching sessions. By active active listening, powerful questions, different coaching tools and having the coachee pondering around the issue, possible solutions are identified and analysed and concrete steps taken towards to goal. Coaching is powerful when there is

established an atmosphere of mutual trust, respect, safety and accountability.

Business Coaching

The goals in business coaching can be either to enhance the coachee’s awareness and consciousness of own behavior and leadership style or to achieve business objectives individually and for the business unit she or he represents. These goals are often interactive with each other. Business coaching enables the coachee to understand and find out how those goals could be achieved, preferably in ways that are measurable and sustainable. Business coaching procedures is also applicable on teams. Team coaching is often used on management teams and Change Line has developed its own service for conducting team coaching.
